Tyler Teal was born and raised in Chesterfield, South Carolina, the grandson of a furniture manufacturer and the son of a Mill Owner - that’s right; the kind of wood mill that took trees and could manufacture any thing from them. Growing up with this kind of incredible influence, Tyler received a tremendous education about the creative process and in designer craftsmanship. For years he honed his own skills in the art of designer wallpaper installation. He has owned and operated Professional Paper Hangers since 1989.

During these 18 years in this field he moved onward and grew to use his talents in the construction and design field. He remodeled and “flipped” his first home in 1991. From that time until 2004 he continued major remodel jobs for his own personal real estate for the purpose of resale or rental. He also did many smaller remodel jobs for others through his wallpaper company.

In 2004 Tyler opened Teal Construction, LLC. Since that time he has built a company with an incredible reputation in Charleston. He is known for his honesty and fair mind. Most importantly he is known for his design abilities and attention to detail. He is most often called upon to handle all design aspects of a project, not only because of his immense talent and forte in interior and exterior design, but also for the financial fact he does NOT charge for these services as part of his construction or remodel package.

Currently Teal Construction has over 50 subcontractors in all fields and trades at their disposal to accommodate any project’s needs, from the beginning engineering stages, to infrastructure development, to fine craftsmanship, and all stages in between. In the residential construction field, Teal Construction can accomplish any design or project it has ever encountered, and always with the customer’s delighted satisfaction.

To this day He and His Team use their experience to build and remodel some of the most beautiful homes in the Charleston, South Carolina area!
